According to Geoff Mosher, the Eagles are expected to bring back Aaron Moorehead to remain as the wide receivers coach on Nick Sirianni's coaching staff.
For the first time since 2015, the Eagles will return a wide receivers coach from the previous season. Philadelphia has had 6 wide receiver coaches dating back to 2015, including Moorehead.
This decision comes as a bit of a surprise considering how the wide receiving core struggled in 2020. Moorehead isn't completely at fault for that, however. Some of the poor production stems from having some of the worst quarterback play in the NFL. They were also riddled with injuries with Desean Jackson, Jalen Reagor, and Alshon Jeffrey missing significant time.
The Eagles ranked 26th in the NFL as a team in receiving yards in 2020.
With the Eagles drafting at No.6, there is a chance for an elite wide receiver such as Ja'Marr Chase or Devonta Smith coming from the draft.
Hopefully Moorehead can be the one to finally get good production out of the receiving unit in 2021.
