Post Week-1 Free Agency Eagles Mock Draft

The first week of free agency is behind us. It was a roller coaster of a week. Many Eagles resigned, but many members of the NFC Championship team will be playing elsewhere in 2023. Even though there is still more free agency moves need to be made for the Eagles, it has made it clearer where some of the Eagles draft priorities are. Let's take a look at my Eagles mock after the first week of free agency.

10. Calijah Kancey DL Pitt

Kancey has been flying up draft boards lately. Losing javon Hargrave was tough, but not for $80 million. Put Kancey next to last year's first round pick Jordan Davis, and the defensive line will be solid for many many years to come! He has amazing strength, technique, and power. Let's finally break that sacks record!

30. Dawand Jones OT Ohio State

I think I am the only Eagles fan who is set on Jones at 30. He is a giant, but he is not ready to start day 1. Good thing we do not need a RT right away. Jones will benefit so much from playing behind Lane Johnson for a year. Losing Seamulo also means Jones could slide over RG for his rookie season. His pure size and strength will make him a force in Jeff Stoutland University!

62. Andre Carter II EDGE Army

Brandon Graham is back!!! How many more years does he really have left though? He has been injury prone, so drafting his replacement has to be in the works. Carter has first round talent, he even has top ten talent. There is still that path that could force him to put the NFL on the side and pursue the Army, but if he is available at 62, Eagles should take the risk to get one of the class's best EDGE rushers.

94. Nathaniel Bell WR Houston

There are talks on Twitter that the Eagles will take a WR in the first round. We need to find a new WR3 and WR4, you find that on day 2 and day 3. Bell has the potential to be a big play WR, but has had some injury concerns. He would be a nice day 3 pick and good replacement for Zach Pascal who left for Arizona.

219. Mohamed Ibrahim RB Minnesota

Miles Sanders has signed with the Carolina Panthers, but they did replace him with Rashaad Penny on a 1 year deal. Penny has suffered injuries over the years, so drafting a RB could be a real option. The Eagles have always had a crowded RB room. This year they will have Penny, Kenny Gainwell, and Boston Scott. With Penny's injury concerns. I think the Eagles pick another RB who also has injury concerns. When healthy Ibrahim has elite speed and great strength.

248. Stetson Bennett QB Georgia

Disclaimer, no this is not to replace Jalen Hurts. The Eagles did sign Marcus Mariota to be a back-up this season, but eventually the Eagles should draft a back-up for the simple reason for it helps with salary cap. Bennett left Georgia after a remarkable career. In the case of an emergency, I think Bennett would help keep the offense afloat with good arm strength and good mobility!

I am a huge fan of this mock draft. I know there are a few positions I did not address. Before Slay or Bradberry resigned I assumed 10 or 30 would be a CB. However, with both of them returning with Avonte Maddox, it was hard to still take a CB when we have bigger needs. With the loss of Kyzir White, I assume 2nd year LB Nakobe Dean will step up into his roll. The offseason is far from over, we still have that Jalen Hurts extension and many more signings!
