Mid-Season 1st Round NFL Mock Draft

College football is approaching their halfway point, while the NFL is not far behind. We are still months away from April's 2025 NFL Draft from Green Bay. One thing that everyone can agree on, it is never too early to start discussing the draft and releasing some mock drafts.

With the draft not until April and football season still far from over, a lot can change. Our draft order for this mock is based off the current NFL standings not what we think the order will be in April. A lot will change from now till April's draft. The draft order will change (sorry Vikings fans,) guys will declare that we don't expect, guys will return to college that we didn't expect.

It is still too early for trades in mock drafts. Have we ever seen a 1st round without a single trade? Maybe this is the year. Probably not, but for right now we are not going to do trades!

Let's get to it. Introducing AATSports first official mock draft of the 2024-25 season!

1. New England Patriots- Travis Hunter CB/WR Colorado

With the Patriots selecting Drake Maye last year, this allows them to take the best prospect in this draft. With Hunter being one of the best corners in this class while also being one of the top receivers in this class, this is unheard of. We always here the term generation used every draft season. Travis Hunter is truly generational. With the QB position locked up, it would be foolish for them to pass on Hunter.

2 Cleveland Browns- Shedeur Sanders QB Colorado

There is a strong chance that Colorado goes back-to-back to start the 2025 draft. Cleveland should be in the market for a QB. Even with the stupid contract they gave Watson. Sanders is one of the best pocket passers in this class and has great ball placement. There is still a lot of debate on the best QB in this class, right now I think Sanders is the first QB off the board.

3 Jacksonville Jaguars Will Campbell OT/G LSU

Campbell is the top tackle in this year's class. He also can easily move over to LG if a team really needs to, and he can be just as productive on the interior as he will be on the outside. Jacksonville has struggled in pass protection as Trevor Lawrence has been one of the most sacked QB's in the NFL. This should be an easy pick for them.

4 Carolina Panthers Abdul Carter EDGE Penn State

Depending on where Carolina finishes, they could go QB here. With Bryce Young looking like a giant bust, don't be surprised if they move on. For now, I think Carolina is committed to Young and hoping to work on his development. They take Carter here who will immediately improve their dead last pass rush defense.

5 Los Angelas Rams Will Johnson CB Michigan

The Rams signed a pair of veteran corners this off-season. Even with the veterans making up their CB room, they have struggled a lot in the pass coverage. Johnson allows them one of the premier corners in this class and allows them to get younger at the position.

6 Tennessee Titans Cam Ward QB Miami

The Titans are going to be in the market for a QB next offseason. If they look for one in free agency or a trade is still unclear. What is clear is that Will Levis is not their future franchise QB. Ward is probably the biggest riser so far this draft season. He is the best playmaker amongst QB's in this class. I personally don't think he should be a 1st round pick, but I also am not an NFL GM.

7 Cincinnati Bengals Mason Graham DT Michigan

The NFL is a QB league. Even if there are better prospects on the board, teams will pass over them for a QB. That is the case for Graham, who could possibly be the best prospect in this entire class regardless of position. He would help the Bengals defensive line in both the rush defense, but he has enough power to be able to get to the QB from the interior.

8 New Orleans Saints Kenneth Grant DT Michigan

The Saints need to get younger on defense, specifically on the defensive line. Grant allows them to get younger on the defensive line, while also being a top rush defender. New Orleans is tricky here, but the youth on defense should be a priority for them.

9 Arizona Cardinals Ashton Jeanty RB Boise State

There has not been a more exciting player in college football than Jeanty. He is so fun to watch, and I really think he will play well at the next level. RB is not a big need for Arizona, especially when they have James Connor. Jeanty would give this offense another fun weapon and get a cheaper RB. There are bigger needs, but watching an offense of Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Ashton Jeanty is exciting for football fans.

10 Las Vegas Raiders Drew Allar QB Penn State

This one will probably come at a surprise. Allar has everything you want in a QB in the NFL. He has great strength, great size, and has a great IQ. I think as he continues this season, his draft stock will continue to rise. I really would not be shocked if he is unavailable at pick 10.

11 New York Giants Jalen Milroe QB Alabama

At the start of the season, Milroe was my top QB in this class. He has not developed as much as I would have liked. His turnovers are a major concern for me. I would not be shocked if he returned to Alabama in 2025, but for now he goes pro. With the entire NFC East having their franchise QB, the Giants better get going.

12 Miami Dolphins Kelvin Banks Jr OT Texas

Miami could go QB here and that depends on what Tua decides to do. If Tua does decide to keep playing, protecting him becomes their top priority. Banks is one of college football's premier blockers and this would allow Miami to lock-up the OT position once Terron Armstead retires.

13 New York Jets Colston Loveland TE Michigan

I wanted to take a WR here, but with them acquiring Davante Adams, that became very unlikely. Loveland gives the team another weapon on offense to help their aging QB. This just seems like a Jets move.

14 Seattle Seahawks Cameron Williams OT Texas

Seattle cannot stay healthy on the offensive line. Williams does not have a large sample size of games, but he is quickly rising up boards. The more Texas wins, the higher that Williams will rise. Williams is one of the best pass blockers in all of college football this season, giving up just 1 pressure. Pairing him with Charles Cross would be a dream for Seattle fans.

15 Denver Broncos Tetairoa McMillan WR Arizona

The Broncos have their franchise QB in Bo Nix and now they need to build around him. McMillan is one of the country's leading receivers. Having the skill set to play in both the slot and the outside, this gives Denver that flexibility with building around Nix.

16 Dallas Cowboys Luther Burden III WR Missouri

It would be such a Jerry Jones move to ignore all the glaring issues with the Cowboys roster and to take a premier WR in this draft.

17 Philadelphia Eagles Malaki Starks S Georgia

If there is a Georgia Bulldog on the board, there will definitely be a chance they take him. The Eagles have a ton of holes in their roster and their secondary is one of them. Starks would bolster the secondary and add to the youth in that area.

18 Chicago Bears Nic Scourton EDGE Texas A&M

There is a good chance that Scourton is a top 10 pick. He has been one of the best defensive players in all of college football this season. He has been a force on that Aggies defensive line. The Bears could look to get offensive line help, but with Scourton available here, they can't say no.

19 Indianapolis Colts Kevin Winston Jr. S Penn State

Winston's biggest flaw right now is that he cannot stay on the field for the Nittany Lions. When healthy he is a versatile defender that can cover the entire field. If he stays healthy, he could be an easy 1st round pick.

20 San Francisco 49ers Benjamin Morrison CB Notre Dame

Morrison is going to miss the remainder of the season with a hip injury. Reports say that he should be ready by week 1 of the 2025 season. San Francisco needs secondary help. This is a risk-taking Morrison, but if it works out this would be a great pick up for them.

21 Buffalo Bills Isaiah Bond WR Texas
22 Los Angelas Chargers LT Overton EDGE Alabama
23 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Shavon Revel CB East Carolina
24 Green Bay Packers Aireontae Ersery OT Minnesota
25 Washington Commanders Denzel Burke CB Ohio State
26 Pittsburgh Steelers Emeka Egbuka WR Ohio State
27 Baltimore Ravens Wyatt Milum OT West Virginia
28 Detroit Lions Mykel Williams EDGE Georgia
29 Atlanta Falcons Danny Stutsman LB Oklahoma
30 Houston Texans Donovan Ezeiruaku EDGE Boston College
31 Kansas City Chiefs Deone Walker DT Kentucky
32 Minnesota Vikings Billy Bowman Jr. S Oklahoma
