The Philadelphia Union announced that homegrown midfielder Jack McGlynn had signed a contract extension until 2025.
McGlynn, 19, made his Union debut in 2021 and featured 23 times during Philadelphia's run to the MLS Cup. There are two option years on the midfielder's contract, which will allow the Union to extend his deal up to 2027.
The USA Under-20 international has played 11 times for the national youth team and played a role in their CONCACAF U-20 Championship in 2022.
“Jack is another clear example of how our commitment to both developing and trusting our academy players allows the next generation of young talent to excel in Philadelphia,” said Philadelphia Union Sporting Director, Ernst Tanner.
“He can do special things on the ball, and we believe he is still far from his peak as a player. We are happy to have reached an agreement to keep him with the Union for the next few years and continue his development.”
