Eagles sign SJ native Joe Flacco

The Eagles have signed backup QB Joe Flacco according to his agent.


Flacco is getting a one-year deal with $3.5 million guaranteed, a league source told NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark



This is a homecoming for Flacco, 36, who grew up in Audubon, NJ. The former Super Bowl MVP will be expected to backup for Jalen Hurts.


Flacco, a first round for the Baltimore Ravens in 2008 has had an impressive career. He has thrown 244 touchdown passes and has passed for over 40,000 yards. From 2008 to 2018 with the Ravens, Flacco was 96-67 in the regular season, while being known as a clutch playoff quarterback. He won Super Bowl XLVII and the game MVP, while posting a 10-5 career playoff record.


He was traded to Denver in 2019 and played with the New York Jets in 2020.


Flacco now gets a chance to finish his career with his hometown team.
