Rocky, Joe Frazier, Bernard Hopkins, and Eddie Alvarez are just a few names that come to mind when you think about the history of combat sports in Philadelphia. This city, known for its fighting mentality, is thrilled to welcome a new sport to the world of combat sports this Saturday, live from the Wells Fargo Center. Bare-knuckle boxing, a new and exciting form of boxing, is making its debut in Philadelphia. For those unfamiliar with the BKFC brand, it’s a boxing spectacle that’s been supercharged and stripped of the protective gear of gloves.

Owner Dave Feldman, a local resident, has worked tirelessly to grow this brand and bring Knucklemania to the city of brotherly love. Knucklemania is just another accomplishment for BKFC, which Feldman is eager to add to his list.

The fanfare for this event has been high, especially since UFC legend Conor McGregor recently became a part-owner of BKFC. McGregor has been actively involved in the media campaign to promote this event across the city of Philadelphia. Feldman and BKFC recognize the passion and loyalty of the Philadelphia fans and are determined to capitalize on that enthusiasm

Who you can expect to see at BKFC

Event Card

Headlining the show is Philly combat legend Eddie Alvarez, who will be taking on ex-UFC fighter Jermey Stephen. However, Alvarez isn’t the only Philly native on the card. This event is stacked with talented fighters from the city, making it a must-see for boxing fans.

Boxing fans who may not be familiar with the headliners, Eddie Alvarez and Jermey Stephens, should know that Alvarez is a MMA legend who has achieved championship success in multiple MMA leagues. His most notable achievement was becoming the UFC champion in 2016 when he knocked out RDA. Eddie, also known as the underground king, has always represented the city of brotherly love. Although he has fought in the city a couple of times, this is his first time at the Wells Fargo Center, the largest sports arena in the city. This feels like a homecoming curtain call for Eddie, one that he so deserves. On the other side of the ring, Jermey Stephens is a 15-year UFC veteran with 29 victories in his MMA career. He is looking to break up Eddie’s homecoming and upset him this Saturday.

Making History

As of now, BKFC has sold over 17,000 tickets for their debut event in Philadelphia this Saturday. Feldman was thrilled to share this news during a press conference, stating that Knucklemania has already out-sold UFC and professional boxing to become the biggest combat event ever held at the Wells Fargo Center.

Fans who want to attend the event live can purchase tickets on Ticketmaster. However, the lower level is next to sold out, but there are still some upper-level tickets available. If you can’t make it to the event live on Saturday night at 8 pm, Knucklemania and every other BKFC event will be streamed live on the Dazin app.

If you’re a fan of combat sports or simply looking for a fun time, Knucklemain this Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center is an unforgettable historic event. This event marks the beginning of what many hope will be the first of many BKFC events in the city of brotherly love. Witness all the knock outs this Saturday 8pm
